The Specification of PCB Control, 4 Questions You Must Know

Unpacking and Storage

(1) It can be used directly within 2 months after the unopened production date.

(2) The manufacturing date is within 2 months, and the unpacking date must be marked after unpacking

(3) The date of manufacture is within 2 months and must be used within 5 days after unpacking

Baking

(1) Seal and open the package for more than 5 days within 2 months from the production date, bake at 120±5℃ for 1 hour

(2) 2 months past the production date, bake at 120±5°C for 1 hour

(3) 2 to 6 months beyond the date of manufacture and baked at 120 ± 5 °C for 2 hours

(4) 6 months to 1 year beyond the production date, bake at 120±5℃ for 4 hours

(5) After baking, it can be used within 5 days.

(6) If it exceeds the production date for 1 year, bake it at 120±5℃ for 4 hours, and then re-spray tin before it can be used online.

Baking Method

(1) The large PCB (16 PORT) is placed horizontally and can be stacked up to 30 pieces. Turn on the oven within 10 minutes after baking, take it out and let it cool naturally

(2) The small and medium PCB (8PORT) is placed horizontally. The maximum number of stacks is 40 pieces. The number of verticals is unlimited. Remove from oven within 10 minutes of baking.

Preserving and Baking in Different Regions

The storage time and baking temperature are not only related to the production capacity and production process of the PCB manufacturer, but also have a great relationship with the region.

The PCB made of OSP process and pure immersion gold process has a shelf life of 6 months after packaging. Baking is generally not recommended for OSP processes.

The preservation and baking time of PCB has a lot to do with the region. It must be used within 24 hours after being exposed to the air, otherwise it will be easily oxidized.

After normal opening, it is best to use up within 8 hours. For some PCBs that need to be baked, the baking time is longer, and the baking time depends on the specific situation.
